The European Journal of Psychoanalysis accepts for publication only original materials and articles that have not been published before and have not been submitted to other journals.

The level of uniqueness of the author’s text for all submitted materials is determined by means of appropriate software. Manuscripts that contain plagiarism or textual borrowings without reference to the original source are rejected by the Editorial Board of the journal.

Forms of plagiarism include:

the use (literal citation) of any materials in any amount without indicating the original source;
the use of borrowed images, drawings, photos, tables, graphs, diagrams or any other form of graphical presentation of information without reference to the source;
the use (without written permission) of materials, the authors or copyright holders of which prohibit the use of their materials without special consent.

Forms of incorrect borrowing include:

the absence of graphic highlighting (with quotation marks) of the literally quoted text if there are references to the source;
the incorrect references to the source or incomplete composition of its bibliographic description that prevents their identification;
the references not to the original source of the borrowed text without indicating this fact explicitly (error in the definition of the original source);
the absence of references in the text to the sources given in the list of references of the paper;
the excessive citation (if there are references to the sources and graphic highlighting of the quoted text), the volume of which is not justified by the genre and purpose of the paper.
If there are incorrect borrowings, all cases of such borrowing are considered on the individual basis.

Plagiarism before publication

The Editorial Board of the journal analyzes any case of plagiarism. If plagiarism or text borrowing is found by editors or reviewers at any stage of paper publication, the author is warned to change the text or make a reference to the original source.

Plagiarism check policy

Plagiarized papers are being processed. If less than 25% of plagiarism is found, the paper is sent to its author for revision. The author is encouraged to review the text borrowings and resubmit the paper.
The percentage of plagiarism is calculated by the software and is also assessed by the Editorial Board.
